Q. What can I do in Jurien Bay? A. Where do I start??
Go fishing off our new jetty, or try you’re luck at beach fishing
Get a swim card to experience the different species of fish and coral while snorkelling along our artificial reef
Check out the sea lions out at the islands or enjoy the magnificent marine park
Go surfing out at the islands or try wake boarding or kite surfing. Water wonderland!
Go skydiving with Jurien Bay Skydiving and land on the beach
Check out Sandy Cape, hire a sand board from Tiges Surf Shop and go sand boarding or snorkelling in the protected bay and check out the magnificent view
Check out the Pinnacles and while you’re near Cervantes stop off at The Lobster Shack for a fresh crayfish lunch & a tour of the live factory
Go caving at Stockyard Gully caves, remember you’re torch!
Picnic out at Mt Lesueur and check out over 900 different varieties of wild flowers.
Q. Are there any clubs/organisations I can join? A. There is heaps to do:
Marine Rescue Group, JBAY Youth Group, Central West Coast Senior Citizens Group, Play-groups…
Or you could join the following clubs – Bowling Club, Horse Club, Darts Club, Lions Club, Golf Club, Badminton Club, Football Club, Netball Club, Motorcross Club or join the Choir or Mens Shed.
If fitness is you’re thing join the gym or if your after a class try out Bokwa, Jazz, Tap or Hip Hop, or “F.A.B fit” OR there’s even Yoga weekly in Cervantes!
If you are art/craft minded try the CWA Craft or take up Painting Classes, which is just the beginning.
You could also volunteer your time and join the Jurien Bay Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service, St John’s, Volunteer Sea Search & Rescue or the Jurien Bay Progress Association. Certainly there are no excuses to be bored, there are things to do for all age levels and it’s a great way to meet people. The kids aren’t left out either, if you have young kids there is heaps to do, depending on the season.
